Amino Acids
Glutamine is an amino acid that should be important for everyone, but especially for people who are physically active, as it determines the positive nitrogen balance (the starting point of anabolic processes). L-glutamine accounts for approximately 60% of the protein content in muscles and it is the main amino acid released from them during intensive energy transformations. Demand for L-glutamine is high in all the cells in your body that undergo rapid divisions, e.g. in the immune system, gastrointestinal system or the regenerating muscle cells. If your body notices that the glutamine level is low, it will break down all other amino acids to transform them into glutamine (which means it will break down, i.e. catabolise, the muscle proteins too). High Speed Glutamine is an easily absorbable (due to the presence of maltodextrins), finely ground, powdered glutamine. Who is the product recommended for? Glutamine improves post-exercise regeneration of muscle glycogen, so High Speed Glutamine is perfect after workouts.
